Feature – House and Home

This year is already off to a smashing start, if I may be so bold. When we got home from our ‘civilized’ NYE party last week, I found this hot little number in our post box. It’s only just the January / February House and Home, for which yours truly has not only written a piece, but is a featured contributor on page six*. Mind = blown.

{Warning – a load of photos at a 45 degree angle below. I just couldn’t stop.}

I wrote up a six page spread featuring Stuart O’Sullivan’s incredibly eclectic Stoneybatter home. I was pretty excited to sit down and talk with Stuart as he is a fellow TK Maxx, Marks & Spencer, IKEA and charity shop stalker.

To find out more, you’re just going to have to check out the January / February issue, on the shelves today at your local newsstand for €3.85. Or even better, subscribe for a year and don’t miss a moment.

I’m also so happy to report that House and Home picked up two awards at the Irish Magazine Awards recently. Mad props to such a skilled gang. H&H is without fail Ireland’s top selling interiors magazine, and I couldn’t be more lucky to have been a part of it. Exponential amounts of winning.

*Not a page 3 type thing. Page six. We keep our tops on on page six. Real classy like.

Lovely mention – Canadian House & Home, part 2

What did my eyes gift me this morning, only just a mention over on Canadian House & Home! H&H had asked readers to share pictures of their holiday decorating {#hhdeckthehalls}, and since I had just blogged some Christmas stuff, I tweeted a pic for the hell of it. I didn’t think I’d make the top ten

I think what’s more overwhelming is the fact that I’m along side some for-seriously talented decorating. Tore up from the floor up kind of talented. You have to check them out as there’s some tres tasty holiday ideas to be found. Linkage to the H&H photo gallery is right on over here
And while I’m going on about it, my snippet made their home page …
I’m proper chuffed. That made my Wednesday a lot easier to handle.
p.s. You can check out my custom Christmas colours series here – part 1, part 2, and part 3. I promise I’ll stop going on about it now.

Exciting news!

Well bloggettes, there’s been a double whammy of news today. First, I’ll be hooking up with this crew again …

… I can’t complain. Exponential amounts of excitement. I’ve been asked to write a piece on a home revamp which will be kicking off next week. I’m a little nervous, but my overall excitement it trumping that right now. So excited to be back with H&H on this piece. It’ll be featured in the January/February issue which if memory serves me right, will be hitting the shelves festive season-ish . It’s Christmas come early for me!

And secondly, I got these lovelies in the post today …

Don’t even get me started. Our photographer, Karina Finegan, is some kind of magician. To back up that statement, I’ve included a tasty little number below. I cannot wait to go through our pictures with my folks tonight, accompanied by some quessadillas + wine. Winning.

TFIF, homies! Extra points if you can figure out what that first ‘F’ stands for. I hope you have an amaze-balls /relaxing/dare-I-say-festive weekend lined up.

xx A
