Crow-globe

My favourite time of year is here – autumn. There’s a lot about this time of year that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside – weather getting colder, crunchy leaves, scarves, cuddles and hot drinks. Aside from all the above, the next thing I love about autumn is the impending Halloween tinted decorations.

I gave myself 10 minutes in TK Maxx over the weekend [yes, I actually have to give myself a time limit], and when I got to the top of the escalator, there sat their Halloween section. A plethora of Halloween themed snow-globes obstructed my line of vision. Some were a bit naff [ugly skeletons, bad-weird pumpkins], but then there was this crow snow-globe. Or as I like to [yell while I’m shaking up all the black glitter], CROW-GLOBE. I mean, seriously. Black. Glitter. And this is a legitly solid piece, no flimsy seasonal decoration. And I’ve always wanted a crow as a pet. Is that weird? I just think I’d look so mysterious.

Crow-globe is a welcome addition to our living room and I should state, he will be present all year round, not just the autumn months. Pro creepy.

Oh my god why is that so awesome?! CROW GLOBE!! Eeek! Awesomeness. I have a little fake (but very realistic looking) crow that I had sat on top of my TV. It was there for probably a week and one night, watching a film, Pablo spotted it (funny he'd not noticed it before). He snuck up in typical cat fashion and POUNCED on it (attacking the TV in the process)!! This is why I'm no longer allowed a rather delightfully morose crow in my home. The end. xxx

Ahhhh thank you for the reminder, Kimberly! We actually have a faux crow too, and Toshi pure adores it / thinks it's actually a crow and goes a little nuts. Must see if I can find it xx

I was really dumb… I saw your statement on facebook: "have you ever bought seasonal decorations to use as part of your regular decor? I spotted this crow-globe…" and I thought to myself – why the hell would anyone decorate for Christmas with a crow?!
Then I realised…. ah, Halloween!! Duuurrrrr!
That globe is so cool, and I love how atmospheric and mysterious it looks when shook up – it totally suits you for all-year-round decor!
    xx

Hi!! I absolutely adore that snowglobe, it strikes me as something that came straight from a Harry Potter movie, no idea why. Can you help me with where I can get one?
BTW love your work and attention to detail, everything looks great!!!

I bought it in TK Maxx in Dublin a good few years ago part of their seasonal Halloween decor. You could also try looking in Winners / HomeSense, as those stores are all related. Hope this helps!
