Sunday Times – interior bloggers Christmas feature!

If you happen upon page 10 of today’s Sunday Times Christmas guide, you’ll find my big mug staring right back at you.

The lovely Dara got in contact with me a couple of weeks ago looking to feature our compact apartment in the Sunday Times’s interior bloggers Christmas feature. Myself and Siobhan Lam of April and the Bear were featured over a five-page spread and I’ve got to say, once I saw Siobhan’s home, I made the ugliest of ugly-crying faces. Her home is beautiful, trendy, stylish, creative, detailed and jaw dropping in general. It is a tough act to follow. But Bill Murray, my berry wall and I did. Even though we’re clearly not in the same league.

Happy Sunday, friends. I hope you have a chilled December Eve and indulge in a cheeky bit of something spiked xx A

I may not have mentioned…. but this is amazing!! That berry colour is so delicious – such a good move painting the wall in that colour! I love the look of the tree against it.
I want to see more pictures of your berry living room!
    Congratulations again!

Woop! Glad you like it, Maria 🙂 I'll of course will be sharing some pictures of our apartment fully decorated. I'm still adding to it though – I got a Star Wars advent calendar for husband and only just put it up last night. I know. I don't know how I do it either.

Great placement of the tree. It looks like the room was specifically designed for a tree to go there. The wall colour doesn't look so bad in the photos, but certainly much much better in your most recent post. Maria is right, too… the contrast between the tree and the wall is gorgeous.

The photographer used a flash so I think it brought out the eye-bleedingly-shiny undercoat (I painted the matt coat the day previous). It's much darker in real life and the pictures I've taken on here are much truer to the real colour, so I'm glad you like it!

There actually used to be another shelving unit where the Christmas tree now is (which you can see here). I moved it about 6 months ago and I'm much happier with it and its perfect Christmas-tree-gap. The interiors' equivalent to thigh gap. But classier? xx A

LOL…. thigh gap. Also doesn't really exist. Tyra Banks showed how to achieve it in photos once. Hilarious to do, but effective in the finished photo. You basically stand pigeon toed with your knees bent, and only take the photo from mid thigh up.

Haha, WHAT! Oh fashion industry, you so crazy. I prefer the alternative approach to thighage –
