Blackboard wall – Halloween

Last weekend we got in the mood for Halloween by a festival of the Paranormal Activities trilogy. I had 30 minutes to draw something Halloweeny for our chalkboard wall beforehand, and this is what I came up with. Not ground breaking. I really wanted to draw an unholy amount of ghouls, skeletons, and zombies, but didn’t have the time. So I drew some massive spider webs in stead. I’ve already invested some serious thought into my Christmas wall – I know, too soon.
I hope you have a happy and safe Halloween this weekend! I hope you’re being something scary. I never understand when people dress as cute things {children are exempt from this statement}. It’s Halloween for god sake.

My favorite picks – happy Halloween!

1. Printable Russian Doll Halloween Garland from Happythought via Poppytalk. How obscenely adorable are these? Perfect for my Russian obsession. Очень симпaтичня.

 2. Fiendish Fancies by Mr. Kipling. The perfect amount of sugar for this weekend. I may have had a box already.

3. Black Skull Money Bank from Urban Outfitters. Is it weird that I would keep this out all year? Well I would.
4. Candy corn pillows by Lion Brand Yarn {you must join to view the pattern}. I wanted to crochet these on a larger scale as pillows this Halloween, but (wait for it) there was no orange yarn in Dublin. Anywhere. Big fat sad face.
5. Haunted House Silhouettes by Jeffery Rudell via Poppytalk. Further proof that I need a house of my own. Such a simple and extremely effective idea.

Dublin Flea Market – Sunday the 30th of October

This months Dublin Flea Market is happening on Sunday the 30th of October. You might be in a spot of luck for last minute Halloween ideas as their site hints toward some Halloween themed finds along with their typical flea market delights. 11:00 – 17:00, Newmarket, Dublin 8. This months Halloween poster is designed by Alistan Munroe.
The DFM will be the perfect wind down for me this week. Fiance and I visited  a very promising wedding venue last weekend, and we’ll be going back for seconds this weekend. We fell for it so hard, we provisionally booked  it. Every day in October 2012 was booked  up except our desired date, and it’s within our budget. I still can’t believe our luck. Shit just got real*.
I’m really looking forward to strolling around some second hand finds on Sunday and sleeping in on Monday – it’s a bank holiday here in Ireland on Halloween. Roll on the weekend!
*I never know where to sit in regards to potty blog talk. I swear like a sailor in real life, but I can’t help but cringe and tend to delete any bad words I put here on my blog …
